EMPOWERING WOMEN

In Uganda, MedWater's partnership with Katosi Women Development Trust is building capacity for women to repair their own wells and treat water in surrounding villages.
Well Repair Training
Well repair training is critical for maintaining access to safe water. This process creates jobs, ensures that water access is secure, and transforms the culture around well management. Women can do anything.

Women of Katosi Women Development Trust investigate the rising main and check valve of a shallow well pump during a training.
Water
Treatment
Women with KWDT have been trained to use the chlorine generator to make water safe. They then trained others, including a local orphanage, to do the same.
